NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale said her team played as hard as it had all season. Yet too many early mistakes doomed No. 17 Sooners against No. 2 Duke.
The Sooners managed to trim a 21-point first-half deficit to seven points in the final seconds but ran out of time in a 94-85 loss Sunday, the second time this season they've fallen to a Top 5 opponent at home.
Oklahoma (6-3) committed 15 of its 21 turnovers in the first half, allowing Duke (10-0) to build a lead that the Blue Devils rode the rest of the way, giving coach Joanne P. McCallie her 500th career win.
