Scouting Report
One of UConn's defensive anchors this season and a starter for nearly every game over the last three years, Moore earned first-team all-Big East honors in 2012 after finishing second in the conference with eight sacks and 15 1/2 tackles for loss. The native of Liberia totaled 72 tackles overall. Moore is a very disciplined linebacker - he reads the play well, doesn't overpursue and fills running lanes well. In the passing game, he has consistently shown the ability to cover tight ends and slot receivers. Additionally, he's a very sure, physical and hard tackler. Moore followed strong showings at the East-West Shrine Game and Senior Bowl with a solid effort at the scouting combine, placing among the leaders at his position in the 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical leap and broad jump. His biggest area of needed improvement is in open space, lacking top-end speed to catch the faster running backs. He also must shed blocks better at the line of scrimmage in the run game. Moore, capable of playing either outside linebacker position, plays an aggressive game and likely won't last beyond the third round as he furthers the growing lineage of UConn players in the NFL.
