Analysis: The righty-hitting rookie next faces Oakland left-hander Sean Manaea, but Haniger surprisingly has hit just .179 against southpaws in his brief big league career. He's hit .279 against righties.

Analysis: The second-year player is batting .380 during a 13-game hitting streak with 15 RBIs and 13 runs. Haniger was considered the extra piece of Seattle's big offseason move, getting Jean Segura in a trade with Arizona. But with Segura (hamstring) out, Haniger has starred. "Mitch started out a little rough, the first couple of games to get the season going was a little rough but over time the at-bats started to get better and the results come," manager Scott Servais said.

Analysis: Haniger is hitting .348 (16 for 46) with four homers, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored during his career-best streak. The 26-year-old right fielder is so far looking like an astute offseason pickup for Mariners' GM Jerry Dipoto.

Analysis: Haniger does have power, as he homered 25 times in the minors before hitting five more in 109 at-bats with the Diamondbacks last season. Seattle's new right fielder got off to a 1-for-12 start, but he's 4 for 12 with three RBIs and four runs scored over his last three games.
